UPCOMING: Final two Culture Days events

For Culture Days, Patchbay has two remaining events! We’ve had a blast this past couple weeks with previous programs, and can’t believe we are already at the end of this sprint of events.

Saturday Oct. 4th
Mapping the City! Drop in anytime (10-5pm) to paint and color a ceramic piece. Your piece will contribute to a new, growing, map mosaic that is an interpretation of so called “Vancouver”. Reflect on habitual routes, favorite landmarks, and the paths you have traced to, through, and from this place. Light refreshments will be provided throughout the day, and there will be a lunch break for the facilitator roughly around 1pm. Happening rain or shine!

Monday Oct. 6th
Join us for our final “Satellite” performance of the year! We are trying something new to celebrate the arrival of fall and hopefully observe a big ole Harvest Moon. In addition to relaxed ambient music performed live, poetry and/or stories will also be shared. We are thrilled to be collaborating with APT POP Gallery and the folks from Poetry Floodlight for this event!

We might explore more story and music nights like these in the future. If you are interested in contributing work for a Satellite performance, we want to hear from you! Please be in touch by emailing: patchbayfieldhouse@gmail.com.

PS: Fall is definitely here, so it’s possible we may need to raincheck this performance. If you’d be interested in hearing about the reschedule or just to keep in the loop with Satellite and other events at Patchbay, please consider signing up for our newsletter or following us on instagram (@patchbayfieldhouse) if you don’t already.
